Matthew Wendorf, AIA
Founder, Principal
Meet Matthew Wendorf—architect, co-founder, and the guy who can make even the toughest deadlines feel a little lighter with his smile. Matthew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Boston Architectural College, where he developed his design expertise (and a love for late-night coffee). Whether he's solving design challenges or brightening up meetings with a well-timed joke, Matthew brings energy and positivity to everything he does.
Professional Experience:
With over a decade of experience, Matthew has worked on projects spanning educational facilities, commercial spaces, industrial and manufacturing buildings and healthcare facilities. Before founding Elivate, he held key roles as he developed a deeper understanding of the industry and focused on creating spaces that combine innovative design with everyday functionality. Matthew’s talent for bringing together aesthetics and practicality has made him a trusted leader in both design and project management.
Joshua Nolle
Founder, Principal
Meet Joshua Nolle — A creative and personable individual, dedicated to excelling in both his professional and personal life. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Science from the New England Institute of Technology, where he honed his skills and deepened his passion for architecture. Throughout his education and career, Joshua has consistently maintained a positive attitude, taking on leadership roles to resolve challenges with confidence, regardless of the project's scale. His enthusiasm for coordination, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex problems are key factors that drive his work beyond expectations and goals.
Professional Experience:
Throughout his career, Joshua has worked on a wide range of projects, from simple undertakings to highly complex ones. His experience spans new construction, additions, and remodels in the residential sector, as well as projects in education, healthcare, retail plazas, and the restaurant and food service industries. Early in his career, Joshua honed his ability to understand clients' visions and foster strong relationships, ensuring that projects, regardless of size, are both successful and enjoyable experiences. His passion, collaborative spirit, and deep expertise in architectural complexities have positioned him as an exceptional leader in the field.
Pedro Borda
Founder, Principal
Meet Pedro, a vibrant architecture professional whose journey began in Colombia and led him to the charming city of Providence, his home for the past 15 years. Armed with a Master of Architecture degree from Roger Williams University, Pedro brings fresh perspectives to every project. From industrial projects to cozy retail spaces, Pedro's portfolio is as diverse as his background. He's left his creative mark on institutional landmarks and welcoming hospitality venues, always with a smile and an eye for innovation. What makes Pedro tick? It's simple: he believes architects have a special superpower - the ability to transform lives and communities for the better. And he takes this "power" very seriously (but don't worry, he doesn't wear a cape to work... usually). When it comes to design, Pedro's not just about meeting expectations - he loves to exceed them! For him, each project is an exciting adventure, a chance to blend his professional expertise with the unique flavors of his international experience. The result?
